Creation and maintenance of accounting policy and procedures and supervision of account analysis and accounts payable functions for the Authority. Maintains compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB). Preparation/supervision of accounting policies and procedures and oversight of internal control processes. Supervises the reconciliation of balance sheets and income statement accounts. Participates in the budget planning process as needed.
BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting. Internal Control, Audit experience and CPA preferred. Two to Five years prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general accounting area preferred. Experience in a professional services firm preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required. Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills required. Ability to balance multiple responsibilities and tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines required. Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
