1.Prepares the College's general checking and all other accounts and investments reconciliation and corresponding journal entries on a monthly basis.
2. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
3.Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
4.Assists Controller and Assistant Controller with the preparation of financial information and statements, forecasts,statistical data, and schedules for the College and year-end audit.
5.Performs transaction analyses and accounting for cash receipts, disbursements and recurring journal entries in Colleague as directed.
6.Supports the Assistant Controller with the UFRS accounting/reports.
7.Monitors revenues and expenditures on all the College's grant accounts.
8.Prepares and enters journal entries as needed (that includes allocation of fees between various accounts); performs other data entry, analysis and research inquiries on computer as needed.
9.Prepares the Bill List and partially the financial statements (runs the report and transfers data onto the spreadsheet) for submission to the Board of Trustees.
10.Assists with the assessment and management of general ledger grant accounts for accuracy, reasonableness; works with the grant accountant and grant managers to ensure timely completion of grant accounting responsibilities.
11.Supports the Assistant Controller with outside reporting: Higher Learning Commission reports, IPEDS, monthly fin. statements and year-end closings.
12.Assists the Business Office in preparation for the annual audit and works with the auditors to ensure they receive timely and accurate fin.reports and data.
13.Assists departmental staff with the fixed assets and inventory accounting.
14.Assists Controller and the Treasurer of the PSC's Foundation board with presentation of fin. statements package and prepares a Portfolio Allocation sheet for the PSC's Foundation board meetings.
15.Assists with the development of the departmental budget, fiscal and report preparation, fiscal procedures.
16.Performs professional and other administrative duties as assigned by the Controller in addition to the above delineated responsibilities.

Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field supplemented by progressively responsible experience preferably in non-profit environment and community colleges in particular.
Experience with an integrated computer accounting system.
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to interact professionally with co-workers, faculty, students and staff as well as all levels of management and third parties.
1.Master Degree in Accounting or Fin. or course work leading to the Degree. 2. Min of 2 yrs of work experience preferably in Higher Ed. 3. Proficiency with MS Excel, pivot tables and Colleague computerized accounting systems. 4. Familiarity with GASB, FASB, AICPA and NACUBO pronouncements and guidelines. 5. Ability to multi- task and to ensure completion of projects. 6. Excellent analytical, acconting, and organizational skills. 7. Ability to work independently to meet objectives with minimal supervision.
