We are looking for a driven Accounting and Operations Intern with an understanding of GAAP and financial principles and terms, who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience with an international trade association. Under the supervision of our team, the Accounting and Operations Intern can expect to participate in the preparation of journal entries and financial reports, analyze actual financial data, learn more about accounting and business operations software, and assist with other accounting and operations activities. The Accounting and Operations Intern should be a motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking.
A strong candidate for the Accounting and Operations Intern role should possess an understanding of accounting and financial principles and a positive attitude. You should be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn.
Assist with detailed data entry and analysis for accurate and complete monthly financial records.
Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
Work with software to learn functionality and record transactions, including helping with migrating to new software platforms.
Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
Learn how to work as part of the accounting and operations teams to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the organization.
Take on additional tasks to learn more about accounting and office operations.

Must be a recent graduate or actively working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or Finance.
Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a general understanding of accounting and financial principles.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Excel.
High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
Telecommuting is allowed.
