Statement of Purpose

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the Finance Department through data analysis and preparation of monthly reports, reconciliations and schedules. A sound understanding of accounting principles is required. Knowledge of international finance and experience working with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Salesforce or ERM systems preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of GAAP and understanding of internal controls.
Perform month-end close activities, which include the preparation of journal entries and assigned account reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze comparative financial information.
Generate financial statements and assist with presentations.
Assist with the annual audit and tax return schedules.
Provide back-up support for other finance functions.

You will bring with you to this role:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Experience working with international companies or recent classes in international finance, a plus
Prior accounting internship experience, a plus
Excellent communication, analytical and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and achieve results in a deadline-oriented and changing environment
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, preferably intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Experience working with CRM and accounting systems such as Salesforce and Great Plains
