Responsible for managing a defined product line or work unit in a department assuming entire span of operation (24/7). A Manager is expected to maintain educational and skill levels necessary to function as staff. Reports to either an Administrative Director or Director. Is an active advocate of Blessing Health System in the community.
This position is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and directing all aspects of the activities related to the accounting and financial reporting for Blessing Hospital and its affiliated entities. This includes external/internal audits, tax return preparation, and financial statement preparation, as well as account reconciliations. The position provides daily staff supervision and ensures the effective and efficient operation of the department while promoting customer and employee satisfaction. This position is also responsible educating and training staff on accounting standards and regulations, as well as helping lead process improvement initiatives within the department.
In equal collaboration with the Information Security Officer, the individual is responsible for the organization’s compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) regulations. This includes (but is not limited to) oversight for the onboarding of new credit card processing technology and changes to existing systems, maintaining documentation of compliance, bringing the organization into timely compliance with any new requirements / regulations, leading the annual attestation process compliance with all applicable parties, and maintaining quality education for all employees accepting credit cards and their leadership. The individual is responsible for representing Fiscal Services in all matters related to securely processing credit cards and ensuring full revenue capture across the Blessing Health System entities.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Corporate Services. ICARE standards must be demonstrated. Adherence to Code of Conduct and other policies is required.
Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience, or bachelor’s degree in business with 8-10 years of progressively responsible accounting or auditing experience.
Training and knowledge on FASB and GAAP regulations.
MBA, CMA, or CPA
One year management experience in the healthcare
