Position Title: Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
Reporting to the CFO/COO, the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis directs and oversees all financial activities for the not-for-profit agency, including the preparation of financial reports and forecasts for future business growth. In collaboration with the accounting staff and other leaders, the Director of FPA analyzes, problem solves, and develops solutions that move the agency’s mission forward. The Director of FPA must be progressive, innovative, detailed and results oriented while ensuring accurate and efficient reporting and analysis for the agency.
Manage the financial reporting and various analysis systems for the organization while developing strategies for enhancement.
Collaborate with the CFO, the Accounting staff, and the Department/Pillar leaders on the preparation and presentation of operating plan and budget for the Board’s approval.
Develop and manage the process for monthly financials and forecasts, including the preparation of the analysis of variances and identification of key drivers.
Create and manage the technological infrastructure for financials including the optimization of Sage Intacct and Certify.
Provide an independent review to evaluate and challenge various submissions.
Develop enterprise planning tools and financial models to support the preparation of financial forecasts, the annual operating plan, and the strategic planning processes.
Provide consultation to the lines of business in the execution of the budget while serving as an independent check on business results.
Provide support to other areas in Accounting.
Other duties as business as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field required; MBA preferred.
At least 5 years of related experience required, with at least two years of supervisory experience preferred.
Proficiency with financial, financial planning, and accounting systems required, Sage Intacct proficiency preferred
Ability to focus, pay attention to detail, independently problem solving and adhere to tight deadlines required.
Advanced spreadsheet skills.
