Position Overview

Due to growth at Ozinga, we have opened a role for a Tax Accountant at our Corporate Office located in Mokena, IL. This role supports both the Tax Manager and Tax Director with various financial initiatives such as the preparation and review of tax returns, participating in the financial analysis of potential acquisitions, researching various tax issues and the administration / compliance aspects of Qualified Retirement Plans.

What you'll be doing as a Corporate Tax Accountant

• Assist with tax preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual income, sales, and excise tax returns
• Assist with preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments
• Assist with various tax research projects
• Administer the tax compliance calendar
• Assist with tax audits
• Assist in financial analysis of potential acquisitions
• Assist with Qualified Retirement Plans administration and compliance, including year-end audits 
• Liaise with internal financial accounting group and external auditors
• Respond to tax authority communications

Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Certified Public Accountant a plus
• Knowledge of accounting and tax research and compliance procedures
• At least 2 to 3 years of proven work experience as a tax accountant
