SUMMARY:        Prepares tax workpapers and tax returns for partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations, and other entities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares tax workpapers
• Prepares tax returns for partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations, and other entities
• Prepares various tax forms as needed
• Prepares federal and state projections
• Prepares extensions
• Calculates estimated tax payments
• Responds to state/local, federal, and international tax authorities to resolve tax issues.
• Assists with tax audits
• Maintains current knowledge regarding changing tax laws and can research as appropriate
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Ability to understand differences between GAAP and tax income
• Maintains tax ledger to ensure accurate tax trial balances

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• 3+ years of experience in public accounting
• Strong knowledge of partnership taxation (both federal and state)
• Must have outstanding work ethic
• Demonstrates knowledge of tax laws
• Must be committed to excellence and high standards
• Strong organizational, computer, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage tasks and workflow
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
