Unit Price Oversight. To oversee the price validation process for CIT and Pooled Funds on a daily and weekly basis within strict deadlines, by performing tolerance checks against benchmarks or comparative data.
Additionally, to proactively identifying areas of concern, and enhance procedures where weaknesses or potential efficiencies are identified, to demonstrate a clear and risk-based approach to outsourcing arrangements.
Fund Oversight Processes. Manage operational controls within the London Fund Oversight team, ensuring the Third-Party Administrators receive relevant data for the production of fund valuations and operating controls to ensure compliance with regulations (eg Fund Manager sign off). Also, to ensure that timely responses are provided to the internal stakeholders, such that valuations are completed in an accurate but timely manner.
Regulatory Oversight and Relationship Management. To manage and enhance operational relationships within LGIM/A and across the outsourced relationships, ensuring that each performs their duty in accordance with regulatory guidelines, liaising with fund managers, operational teams and associated stakeholders to ensure swift and accurate resolution of issues.
Audits. To assist with the production of scoping documents and participating in audits of outsourced fund valuation and accounting activities, providing guidance over process and control effectiveness, such that recommendations can be made, and implemented, for continuous improvement and move towards a best practice environment.
Breach Reporting and Root Cause. To analyze, investigate, interpret and communicate the cause of breaches, to propose enhancements to current processes to mitigate risks to outsourced products, and to ensure a tight Root Cause effectiveness program is in place. Challenge Third Party Administrators for continuous improvement and compile reports to Committees and Directors as appropriate.
Project Management. To deliver project expertise across CIT’s, LLC’s and 40 Act Funds for Fund Operations in a range of product launches, developments, inspecies or rationalizations. To ensure attendance at meetings where required, communication to the project team of risks, issues or implementation concerns, and ensuring the Fund Operations team understand and can support the practical oversight of the fund.
Fund Oversight Processes. To work with the Cardiff Fund Oversight team to allow cross functional support as required by the Fund Oversight Manager.
Performance Oversight. To supervise the completion of monthly oversight of Third-Party Administrator produced performance returns, the subsequent fund manager approval process and the delivery of data to internal stakeholders.
Team Development. Manage, motivate and develop employees at all levels, in a manner that is consistent with the Company’s policies and procedures to maximize the performance of the area. Also, to manage the progress through relevant examinations to provide an appropriately skilled team who can provide subject matter expertise to the business and strengthen the risk management of the funds.
