We manage approximately 70 apartment communities throughout Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Our portfolio includes market, Section 8 and 42 multi-family and senior developments.
Ludwig and Company is seeking an ambitious, career focused, individual to fulfill the position of Corporate Property Accountant at our Gurnee corporate office.
Under the direction of the Chief Financial / Operating Officer, the Corporate Property Accountant will be assigned a portfolio of apartment communities. He or she will be responsible for all financial accounting functions for their portfolio:
Monthly accounting close
General ledger review
Financial statement preparation
Annual audit preparation
Annual budget preparation and monthly budget variance analysis.
Review all accounts payable, receivable and payroll transactions affecting their portfolio.
Other tasks as assigned
Candidates must be able to support on-site managers in all accounting functions. Facilitating a good relationship with our clients by initiating excellent customer service and communication is key to this position. Our company offers opportunities for advancement as our portfolio is expanding quickly.
- Associate Degree with at least 2 years of accounting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree Accounting Preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in public accounting or property management accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite. Quick Books experience a plus
- Eagerness to take on additional responsibility in order to advance within the organization
- Career oriented individual seeking long term employment within our company
