As the Senior Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of processes and procedures that properly capture, track, and report revenue, in accordance with the company revenue accounting policy.  You will present revenue treatment on signed contracts with customers, as well as advise management on implications of contract terms outlined in the proposal process. You will maintain accurate revenue schedules by customer and will be responsible for month-end close responsibilities.  You will review and maintain information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and other accounting regulations. Additionally, you will work closely with our finance and external audit teams to provide accurate, timely data and help support the annual audit process. 

What You Will Do:

• Perform contract analysis review and apply critical thinking to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and ASC 606 revenue recognition accounting standard
• Perform month-end revenue close process including agreement review, preparing journal entries, and prepare monthly account reconciliations
• Work through accounting implications and confirm we can operationally support business agreements.
• Research accounting guidance and prepare technical memos to document Company’s position on various revenue transactions.
• Identify opportunities and implement programs to centralize, eliminate, automate, or outsource activities
• Utilize Workday financial systems, including Adaptive Insights, and improve overall system capabilities and support future reporting tool enhancement projects
• Maintain accurate records to facilitate review with senior management, internal and external audit
• Prepare revenue recognition schedules and write-ups (revenue memos)
• Independent contributor with full ownership for successful delivery of job specific projects
• Understands the “big picture” view and adjusts work accordingly
• Review and monitor revenue contracts in Workday financial systems based on GAAP requirements
• Lead and assist with other ad-hoc projects as needed

What You Will Need: 

• 2-4 years previous public accounting or revenue accounting experience required
• Technical Accounting: Responsible for compliance with global accounting policies. Will support global technical accounting initiatives such as the implementation of new accounting standards.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Key systems experience a plus (Workday, Salesforce, Adaptive Insights)
