Provide strategic leadership to team, overseeing requirement identification, testing, and overall workflow. May build projects, process specifications and conduct quality inspections. Ensure requirement gathering is in alignment with business and technology partners. Manage projects involving technology and ensure that system-related issues are resolved in timely and accurate manner. Act as the key interface to technology partners and the business for technology-based initiatives.
Responsibilities
Work across the business to establish strategic direction for a team of Business Systems Analysts. Build relationships with leaders to understand business objectives, priorities and to develop supporting process improvement initiatives. Act as a liaison between the business and technology for the development and implementation of new systems and/or improvements
Lead the design, development and implementation of tools and reports that support operational excellence, productivity enhancements, growth, and other key initiatives. Ensure analysis, documentation and management of business and user requirements are the best solutions.
Maintain projects on time and within budget, reporting on progress, managing expectations, risk, and ensuring post-implementation benefits are measured.
Support business strategies and objectives by overseeing the delivery business unit technology solutions on time and within budget. Ensure solutions are of high quality, cost effective and implemented in a sustainable manner. Manage escalated project communications, risks, and issues to determine when further escalation is required.
Provide effective people leadership through effective coaching, feedback, and sound performance management practices. Act as champion for the team and intervene on matters that create roadblocks to individual or organizational success. Set department initiatives and aligns and sets individual performance goals.
Maintain knowledge of new developments in business process improvement methodology and data analysis, including learning from other market leaders and industries. Educate team on changes in the industry and organization
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent (4-years)
7 to 10 years relevant experience required
Post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be interchanged to meet the combined total years of minimum required qualifications for education and experience.
Extensive quantitative and analytical skills with experience in process improvement.
Demonstrated ability in integrating business knowledge with analytical insight.
Ability to influence across organization, motivate and negotiate with senior leaders and business partners.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with ability to analyze data and recommend solutions.
Must have excellent program management experience/skill.
Demonstrated people leadership experience
