Our client produces and hosts a variety of live entertainment events from live tours to entertainment cruises with their various companies. Part of a leading Private Equity Portfolio, this company owns and operate events and music festivals in Europe and Australia. What the job involves

Reporting to the CFO / COO, the Strategy & Business Development Manager will work closely with the directors and management team to help define the company's strategic direction and oversee the delivery of priority projects. This is a role with high visibility, direct ownership, and accountability.

• Taking ownership of strategy and business development projects, covering corporate and event strategy, business planning, brand strategy, new business opportunities, and special projects, working closely with directors, management team members, and functions
• Managing end-to-end delivery of projects, including cross-functional project management supported by robust results tracking
• Supporting the board in preparing board and steering committee materials and collaborate with its other operating businesses to support growth ambitions and synergy realization
• Using considerable judgment to solve complex, ambiguous business problems, bringing structure and quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques
• Conducting deep-drive analysis on critical and commercial initiatives across, e.g., production, ticketing, food & beverage, brand partnerships, merchandise, travel, and digital
• Building robust businesses cases supported by financial and operational assumptions
• Benchmarking performance and identify areas of improvement
• Leading research and analysis of market developments and trends - monitor market and competitor landscape and key drivers in core and adjacent geographies and sectors
• The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of the company and develop a holistic and deep understanding of all business aspects and quickly expanding the strategic and operational skillset

Who we are looking for

• Several years of experience in strategy consulting
• Experience working with events and/or an interest in music festivals is considered a positive
• Strategic mindset, 'hands-on' approach, excellent problem-solving skills, excellent analytical skills, high level of communication skills and fluency in performing financial and quantitative analyses
• Strong project management experience gained from leading major workstreams or projects
• An appreciation of how technology and digital can contribute to solving business problems
• Expert Excel user with the ability to manage large volumes of data
• Ability to produce and present presentations with a clear and concise narrative
• A collaborative team player who champions the strategic process
• Fantastic organization and time management skills
• Strong work ethic and sense of personal responsibility for work outcomes
• Experience in an international context
• Fluent or advanced proficiency in German and English, both speaking and writing
