Right now, they are looking to hire a Finance Director to support them on their growth journey. The Finance Director position is a partner to the CFO and will be a key interface between business leaders and the finance function to help aid decision support and drive performance in the business. This role offers many learning opportunities in an exciting PE-environment and the chance to take ownership very quickly. The position will be based in Wuppertal, Germany. What the job involves
Support CFO on all finance related topics
Build-up, lead, manage and coach the finance team
Establishment of regular KPI reporting including corresponding feedback loops with the division heads and stakeholders
Development and establishment of further controlling instruments such as standardised ROI calculations, DB calculations and make-or-buy analyses
Preparation of the analyses and derivation of concrete recommendations for action in coordination with the respective stakeholders
Regular variance analysis incl. comments for P+L and Cash Flow
Coordinate the month-end and year-end-close processes
Ensure that the organization's accounting records are maintained in accordance with established legal, regulatory (e.g. tax) and company standards
Driving the annual business planning by contributing to the execution of strategic initiatives, driving financial accountability for business results, achieving business case targets and improving the financial acumen across the business as required
Transactional Accounting Delivery by ensuring payables controls, expense processing, capital expenditure and intercompany accounts are effective and comply with company policy
Ensure and optimise internal controls in finance
Who we are looking for
University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines
Several years of experience in Finance/Accounting
Knowledge of HGB and IFRS is a must have
Evidence of successful people engagement/management
Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI/OLAP systems are important, DATEV knowledge also welcomed
Track record of finance process alignment and simplification plus delivery
Hands-on mentality and willingness to roll up your sleeves and embrace a "no task too big or too small" attitude
Ability to manage multiple tasks utilizing organization and prioritization skills
Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to work efficiently and effectively under time pressure and meet deadlines
Confident appearance with high customer orientation
Strong strategic thinking with process- and goal-oriented proactive approach
Empathic skills in dealing with internal stakeholders and colleagues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
