We are seeking an experienced Vice President, HR Business Partner to play a multi-faceted role within HR in support of enterprise needs: The role serves as a strategic consultant and confidant to senior leaders within the BU on innovative Human Capital strategies that help drive business results and mitigate risk for the firm in partnership with global Centers Of Excellence (COE). You will have the opportunity to champion and leverage enterprise solutions, while ensuring BU and regional needs are considered in developing the strategic human capital agenda for the BU. Your focus will be to proactively assessing the overall health and talent of the BU, leveraging human capital metrics and industry trends/best practices to influence leader and organization effectiveness, act as a catalyst for change and innovation, and drive business results.
The ideal candidate will lead by inspiration and will have an accomplished track record of influencing transformational change including experience building and modernizing HR capabilities to elevate the workforce and making strategic connections across HR engaging HR COEs to enable successful delivery of HR products and solutions that address enterprise objectives.
Responsibilities
Partner with senior/executive leadership to proactively identify, develop, and executive the strategic human agenda for the respective business unit(s), ensuring alignment to enterprise objectives. Serve as a trusted coach to business leaders to influence outcomes related to organizational, team, and leadership effectiveness required to support the business.
Build strong relationships with business leaders and develop a deep understanding of the business to identify and implement leadership development strategies and programs that support business objectives, resulting in improved performance and development of key talent within each business line.
Consult with executive leaders in partnership with global COE colleagues to align on HR strategies that address business needs, drive business results, and mitigate risk for the organization. Leverage data, analytics and external insights to coach and influence senior leaders/executives on leader effectiveness and other topics to drive current and future business performance. Champion execution of enterprise human capital solutions in their respective business
Serve as a catalyst for organization change strategies, innovation, and effectiveness. Lead efforts to evaluate operating models and talent; recommend, design, deliver and implement organizational solutions to maximize effectiveness; optimize processes, and drive growth strategies that align with the strategic direction of the organization. This includes resource planning, talent assessment, succession planning, organization design, and assessing change management implications and ensuring effective change management implementation.
Manage direct reports, including coaching, development, and performance management.
Lead enterprise and or HR projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
10+ years of relevant HR experience, including demonstrated team leadership, facilitation skills, and the ability to build strong teams.
Strong business and financial acumen with proven ability to understand the business vision, strategy, priorities, financial, and performance measures and cycle.
Proven ability to partner with business leaders to successfully drive the HR agenda, large scale change initiatives, and use data, analytics, and influence to gain their commitment and support.
Ability to understand and interpret data to diagnose problems and provide business with insights; knowledge of emerging technology (machine learning, bots, AI, big data, etc.) to help assess and advance innovation in the business.
Demonstrated ability to manage through conflict.
Must possess a combination of relationship, influencing, strategic, technical and execution skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, with flexibility and demonstrated organization skills.
Demonstrated consultative and collaborate approach, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Track record of using critical thinking to break down problems, discover root causes, and develop data-supported recommendations to challenges and identify opportunities for improvement; understand global macro trends that affect human capital strategy; actively networked to understand HR best practices and trends to effectively execute our HR operating model.
Proven track-record of leading teams on broad change initiatives.
Outstanding executive communication and presentation skills and proven ability to conceptualize, lead, implement and monitor programs and initiatives in the context of broader business/organizational objectives.
Leading through HR transformation is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will lead by inspiration and will have an accomplished track record of leading through transformational change including experience building and modernizing HR capabilities.
Additionally, this person must demonstrate organizational ability to help support the strategic vision and marshal the necessary resources to motivate team members to implement the vision. A heavy emphasis will be placed relationship building.
This person should understand the benefits of working within a large, global, matrixed organization. This includes having the ability to influence in a complex, matrixed environment. The goal is to significantly establish credibility while strategically building and positioning the organization for continued growth.
The preferred candidate is expected to think strategically, leverage data and analytics to and drive innovation and influence change with a focus on continuous improvement and transform.
Additional leadership expectations include demonstrating accountability with a focus on client needs and creating value for the shareholder. It will be important that this individual build and develop talent and manage performance.
A proven track record of effective leadership of managing and leading through change. There is a strong emphasis on the ability to maximize relationships, collaborate, build trust, and communicate effectively with leaders at all levels and across business units, staff groups, and geographic locations.

New York Residents Only: The estimated base salary for this role is $170,000 - $250,000/ year. Base salaries are determined in part based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
