What you'll do
As a Financial Controller, you'll establish and maintain strong working relationships with key customers and stakeholders, and deliver high quality and consistent financial, statutory, and management reporting outputs. You'll comply with relevant policies and consider and escalate the adequacy and effectiveness of the business's controls on a regular basis.
You'll also undertake reconciliations, accounting, MI and control activities to support the ledger close, reconciliation, substantiation and statutory and external reporting ensuring the integrity of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information.
Day to day, you'll:
Participate as an attendee or member in various committees
Support or lead change initiatives, process improvements and in system implementations
Prepare month-end accounting, such as journals preparation, reviews and account reconciliation
Investigate process or system issues
Support or lead systems testing, such as user acceptance testing and system or process improvement initiatives
Provide support to internal and external auditors throughout the reporting period
The skills you'll need
To succeed in this role, you'll bring experience in core financial control delivery and reporting outputs, including ledger close, balance sheet substantiation, statutory and management reporting and external audit. You'll have experience in or be willing to explore current and future finance technologies such as Oracle, Tableau or Python. Ideally, you'll be working towards or already have a management degree, or an accounting qualification.

Knowledge of IFRS9 and relevant financial standards
Experience of delivering change in a financial services environment
The ability to identify, build and enhance key relationships at a senior level
Experience of investigating and probing issues with cross-business impact
