Reporting into the Chief Human Resources Officer, we are seeking an experienced Vice President, HR Business Partner Executive to be a strategic and innovative member of the HR leadership team (HRLT) and consult with executives across our staff functions, primarily the Finance organization, to drive human capital strategies that are aligned with enterprise objectives. In this role you will lead a team of HR Business Partners to catalyze positive change in the organization. Utilizing strategic thought leadership, human capital expertise, and deep knowledge of best practices and industry trends, you will proactively assess organizational implications of business strategies and partner with executives and HRLT colleagues to influence organizational, talent, and business outcomes You will focus on leveraging enterprise solutions and drive integrated strategies that are clearly aligned with business needs. The ideal candidate will lead by inspiration and will have an accomplished track record of influencing transformational change including experience building and modernizing HR capabilities to elevate impact.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic thought leadership to a team of HR Business Partners to influence outcomes related to organizational, team, and leadership effectiveness required to enable business results.
Consult with executive leadership, including the Chief Financial Officer, to proactively identify and develop the strategic human capital agenda for all staff functions, ensuring alignment to enterprise objectives. Serve as a trusted coach and advisor to executive leaders to drive current and future business performance in alignment with the strategic priorities of the organization.
Leverage trusted relationships with business leaders and deep understanding of the business to proactively identify and diagnose human capital issues and trends that will impact business performance. Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to implement strategies and solutions that result in improved performance and development of key talent within the business. This includes consulting and coaching in a way that influences outcomes and drives positive change in leadership behaviors.
Evaluate, recommend, design, and implement organizational design solutions to address organizational issues in alignment with the strategic direction of the organization. This includes strategic workforce planning and influencing and facilitating change. Consult with executive leaders and deliver integrated enterprise solutions to address business needs.
Serve as a catalyst for organization change, innovation and effectiveness. Assess the business impact on short and long-term priorities. Leverage internal & external data-driven insights, best practices, and trends in partnership with HRLT colleagues, to influence business outcomes. Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) and relevant staff function colleagues to lead the HR aspects of strategic initiatives, including organizational design and operating effectiveness, talent and leadership capabilities, diversity initiatives, and engagement strategies.
Provide effective leadership to direct reports, including coaching, development, and performance management.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of relevant HR experience, including demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to build strong teams, preferably within financial services.
Strong business and financial acumen with proven ability to understand the business vision, strategy, competitive landscape, priorities, financial, and performance measures, and global capabilities.
Proven ability to partner with business leaders to successfully develop, recommend, influence, and drive a strategic HR agenda aligned with enterprise priorities.
Creative thinking skills to use business knowledge to help inform HR solutions and ensure they are fit for purpose." Understand impacts of decisions and connect dots across the organization; see things not obvious to others, intuitive and able to draw connections and conclusions to identify implications to the business.
Demonstrated consultative and collaborate approach, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Ability to understand and interpret data to diagnose problems/patterns and provide leaders with insights.
Able to help leaders think around the corner" and identify blind spots through storytelling or by bringing knowledge of emerging external trends or technology (machine learning, bots, AI, bid data, etc.) to advance innovation in the business.
Outstanding executive presence: excellent communication and presentation skills and proven ability to conceptualize, lead, and drive strategic HR initiatives in the context of broader business/organizational objectives, focusing on an enterprise-first approach.
Actively networked to understand HR best practices and trends and able to convert knowledge to put forward ideas and recommendations which support the advancement of the function.
Leading through HR transformation is highly preferred.

The ideal candidate will lead by inspiration and will have an accomplished track record of driving innovation, thinking strategically, and influencing transformational change. Additionally, this person must demonstrate organizational ability to understand and enable the strategic vision. A heavy emphasis will be placed on relationship building. This person should understand the benefits of working within a large organization and servicing the internal client. This includes having the ability to influence in a matrixed environment. The ultimate goal is to significantly establish credibility while strategically building and positioning the organization for continued growth.
The preferred candidate is expected to demonstrate accountability with a focus on client and enterprise needs to create value for the shareholder. It will be important that this individual build and develop talent and manage performance. A proven track record of effective leadership of managing and leading through change. There is a strong emphasis on the ability to maximize relationships, build trust, and communicate effectively across business units, staff groups, and geographic locations.

Base Pay Salary
230,000-325,000
