We're seeking a future team member for the role of Auditor to join our Internal Audit team.
This role is located in Lake Mary, Pittsburgh, New York, or Jersey City with a hybrid work arrangement.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Participate in delivering entry-level audits and challenging audit assignments under moderate supervision.
Tests financial, operational and other processes per Audit procedures.
Begins to learn business strategies, processes, and regulations (both on the job and through relevant training) and is alert to the changing nature of risk. Demonstrates newly acquired knowledge and skills through, for example, thoughtful analysis of business processes and issue identification, as well as discussions with the project leader and auditees.
Identify meaningful issues impacting business and operations under review, challenging management to develop appropriate remedial action to address the issues identified.
Follow-up of audit actions to ensure corrective actions have been appropriately implemented and where necessary testing their design, operating effectiveness, and sustainability.
Build and proactively manage relationships with key stakeholders and participate in Continuous Monitoring activities.
Contribute to the development of the annual audit plan.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practice and regulatory requirements.
Carry out other ad-hoc tasks and projects as directed by audit senior management.
Applies judgement based on the analysis of information which is used as inputs for others to solve complex issues and identify innovative solutions.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
0-3 years of total work experience preferred.
Prior experience in financial services within Internal Audit, Risk, or Compliance.
Additional core skill requirements include understanding of the applied and interpretation of analytics results for Audit, critical thinking and problem solving.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $46,500 and $64,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
