The Business Intelligence Unit (BIU) provides research and due diligence on 'sensitive clients' and transactions to the Bank's businesses and committees globally, and partner teams across First Line of Defence (1LoD) and the Second Line of Defence (2LOD). The due diligence supports the Bank in making informed decisions about financial crime and reputational risks presented by 'sensitive clients. The research is based upon a range of credible data sources and analysis by a centralized team of multilingual researchers and analysts. The BIU additionally carries out research and analysis on a diverse range of topics with potential financial crime or reputational impacts to the Bank. This includes analysis of sensitive industries, emerging markets, and geopolitical, social, or other emerging risks, all with the purpose of enriching Deutsche Bank's decision-making process and enhancing the Bank's control environment.

What You'll Do
Help promote and expand the BIU's corporate and risk intelligence service across the Bank by providing timely and accurate research and reporting support on the team's current book of work. This includes enhanced research counterparty due diligence, specific sector reviews and geopolitical trend analysis, and other ad hoc topics of concern to the Bank
Act as key point of contact for research into potential risks (notably political, reputational and financial crime related) around clients and transactions in the Americas region
Provide administrative and linguistic support to the Regional Head of Business Intelligence Unit or other senior members of the team
Responsible for responding to requests from different stakeholders for research and reporting in a timely and accurate manner
Recognizing the need to drive long-term success of the BIU team the person will need to possess a 'can do attitude' and exemplary communication skills
Skills You'll Need
Proficiency in Portuguese and / or Spanish. Other languages are a plus
Previous experience with financial crime risk reviews and analysis, experience in the financial services is desired, but not required
Expertise, previous experience, or academic focus on Latin America is preferred
Excellent analytical and report writing skills including the ability to critically analyze information contained within public sources
A sound understanding of key regional political and socio-economic issues

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with Spanish and/or Portuguese Language skills highly advantageous

Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $65,000 to $94,250. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
