We are seeking a seasoned finance professional with experience in Fintech to join the team in a senior internal finance role. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll be responsible for managing all accounting and finance functions across the organisation, as well as collaborate with the Finance Director on strategic planning and analysis. This is an early opportunity to shape processes and methodologies, ensuring the Finance team optimally contributes to the company's success.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting activities, internally and externally, to uphold the highest standards of integrity and accuracy company-wide.
Develop, implement, and enforce compliance with accounting policies, particularly for the regulated entities of the company.
Manage the month-end close process and generate monthly management accounts and reports according to company timelines.
Ensure adherence to statutory, tax, auditing, and external reporting requirements.
Provide oversight of finance-related regulatory processes and support financial information provision for regulatory projects.
Lead team member recruitment, training, and development efforts.
Standardize, document, and automate processes, leveraging emerging trends in Finance SaaS and appropriate tools for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with the Finance Director and executive team to prepare and monitor performance against forecasts and budgets, offering analysis and strategic insights.

What we expect from you:

Interest in startups, preferably with prior experience.
Keen or growing interest in the crypto world.
Experience in finance within a bank or regulated financial services organisation, including team management.
Previous directorship experience is advantageous.
Fully qualified accountant with post-qualification experience and statutory reporting knowledge.
Background in audit, financial reporting, financial control, or regulatory reporting.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous work environment.
Experience in finance operations or treasury, with a focus on process optimisation.
Proactive approach, with a bias toward action and automation.
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision while maintaining a collaborative team spirit.
