Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties is working with a not-for-profit business, looking for an experienced individual with a knack for handling financial transactions. Our client is looking for a skilled Accounts Assistant to join a hands-on, dynamic team in Northamptonshire.
Role
In this role, you will be working closely with the Finance team to help with the day to day responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities;
Maintain cash book and conduct bank reconciliations, including journal creation and posting.
Execute month-end closure procedures in Sage 200, ensuring accuracy in bank balancing and journal completion.
Handle cheque and cash payments, prepare for banking, and manage deposits.
Process various receipts and BACS payments
Reconcile credit card receipts monthly and process credit card expenses
The ideal candidate profile
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Experience with finance software packages, preferably Sage 200 or equivalent.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team or independently.
Highly organized and efficient with strong communication skills.
Previous experience in an accounts environment is essential.
Salary & Benefits
Paying up to £27,000 per annum, plus pension and private healthcare included.
