Pella Regional Health Center is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. Working under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO is responsible for the overall financial management and fiscal integrity of the organization while providing leadership oversight for multiple operational departments.
The CFO has responsibility for Finance, Business Office, Health Information Management, Materials Management, Compliance, Human Resources, and Education. This role plays a critical part in aligning financial strategy with organizational goals, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting sustainable growth.
As a key member of the administrative team, the CFO collaborates closely with executive leadership, the Board of Trustees, and department leaders to guide strategic decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term planning. The CFO provides financial insight, analysis, and leadership to support high-quality patient care while maintaining strong financial performance.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Directing and overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and revenue cycle oversight

Providing executive leadership for assigned operational departments, ensuring effective management, compliance, and performance outcomes

Serving as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team in organizational planning, growth initiatives, and resource allocation

Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements

- Master’s Degree required. Education in accounting, business management or a related area preferred.
- CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role within an CAH or health care industry. Minimum 5 years leadership experience in an CAH or healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance principles, fiscal management, and risk management strategies.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial report writing and interpretation.
- Experience with financial software systems that enhance operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with supply chain finance concepts and revenue cycle management is required.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough business analysis.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience in managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Supervising experience is essential for leading finance teams towards achieving organizational objectives. The Chief Financial Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's future through strategic financial leadership.
