Overview
The Assistant Director, Admissions Financial Aid is a highly visible position responsible for increasing awareness and building enthusiasm for NYU Silver School of Social Work through student recruitment initiatives, specialized events, and financial aid/scholarship opportunities. The AD will assist in developing and executing student recruitment, communication, and yield plans, cultivate and steward lasting positive relationships with constituents at various college campuses, like-minded organizations, with prospective students and their families. This role will support the application management process that includes managing a distinct set of applications, oversee the front-facing merit-based and named scholarship process, and manage all communications related to financial assistance for applicants and students. This is a fixed-term position with an initial two-year appointment, subject to renewal thereafter.
Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related area
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in a related area
Required Experience: 5+ years of experience in a college of university setting with preference for experience in a financial aid office
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent skills in problem solving, resolving complex application issues. Willingness to perform a wide range of tasks and adapting administrative applications to systems of automated information management. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with word processing, database and spreadsheet software.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $85,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
