We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Auditor to join our Internal Audit team for the Enterprise Initiatives team. This role is located in Manchester - HYBRID. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Performing risk-focused fieldwork and pre-implementation reviews,, in accordance with Internal Audit policies, methodologies, and standards to identify meaningful issues, risks and other exposures in the area of the company being audited.
Demonstrating understanding of business processes through flowcharting, work papers, analysis, issue identification and discussions with project leaders and auditees on projects of varying complexity.
Reviewing that the project management and implementation controls are adequate and accurate and adhere to company policies and procedures, audit methodologies, and all applicable regulations.
Drawing on experience and/or specialist skills (e.g., technology, project management knowledge, modelling, or experience, etc.) to plan and deliver audits.
Building and maintaining successful relationships with key audit and program management stakeholders to keep up to date with emerging risks and thereby help ensure audit activity is directed appropriately.
Identifying new opportunities to use automation, data analytics, and other technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our audit work.
Effectively communicating concerns and issues to senior stakeholders, both verbally and in writing to help drive control enhancements across the organization.
Working with a multi-disciplinary team on occasion, supporting staff in functions not within own discipline, and ensuring appropriate liaison and communication with colleagues
Demonstrating leadership through work guidance and training of less experienced peers and through advice to assigned auditees.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant critical thinking specialty such as MIS, DIS, Computer Science, Mathematics preferred.
Relevant years of total work experience preferred.
Prior experience in Audit or Project Management preferred. Additional core skill requirements include understanding of the applied and interpretation of analytics results for Audit, critical thinking and problem solving.
