Responsibilities:

• Maintain general ledger for individuals, trusts, partnerships and private foundation. Ensure timely and accurate data.
• Manage centralized office email, including organizing and prioritizing investment communications, forwarding correspondence to colleagues as needed, filing all investment reports and documents on network and responding to inquiries in appropriate and professional manner.
• Prepare daily and monthly reports.
• Process accounts payable, including review of invoices for accuracy, preparation of checks, analysis as needed, etc.
• Monitor cash balances and replenish as needed.
• Monitor cash receipts and track expected investment distributions.
• Enter money movement transactions into financial institution website and monitor their completion.
• Reconcile monthly bank and brokerage account statements.
• Assist in tax compliance process, including reconciliation of 1099s, preparation of supporting schedules for tax preparers, processing of payments, preparation of Form 1099, preparation of tax basis schedules, etc.
• Maintain loan documentation for inter-entity loans.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses as needed.

Qualifications:

• Degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience in accounting or tax functions required. Family office or investment firm experience ideal, but not required. 
• Foundation with partnerships and/or trusts a plus.
• Basic knowledge of and interest in capital markets, investments and related areas desired. Prior experience in environment of investment accounting and performance measurement desirable.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required. QuickBooks experience desired, experience with Addepar or other portfolio management accounting system a plus. 
• Strong technology skills. CRM experience a plus.
