Overview
You will work independently on audits and/or on tasks delegated to you within the scope for audits for IB Fixed Income & Currencies (FIC) Financing and Origination & Advisory US and may sometimes work on multiple audits at the same time. You will evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to the risks within those business areas, working under moderate supervision, e.g., in complex situations. You will proactively develop and maintain professional consultative working relationships within the function and with stakeholders inside the Bank and respective support areas. You will use a range of approaches to collect relevant information to assess key risks, resolve issues or carry out tasks. You will work in a co-operative manner with subject matter experts and other teams from across the function and outside the function to provide 'front-to-back' audit coverage: You may occasionally participate in ad-hoc projects.

What You'll Do
Proactively leads or participates in day-to-day audit work, including audit planning, fieldwork and reporting and document process flows, identify risks, assess controls, and perform audit testing
Track and validate closure of internal audit issues and regulatory observations and complete business risk assessments and contribute to the annual audit planning process
Work on ad hoc projects including methodology enhancements and regulatory inquiries and complete all work assignments on a timely basis - including planned audits, ad hoc projects, and special investigations
Pro-actively develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, the Business and respective support areas. Work in an integrated manner with fellow team members both locally and globally
Communicate openly with Group Audit management and internal stakeholders, keeping all informed of potential issues and escalating problems/delays accordingly
Keep abreast of pertinent industry and regulatory trends
Skills You'll Need
Undergraduate or equivalent degree required; advanced degrees and relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CFA, etc.) preferred but not required
Moderate experience in an internal Audit role, covering Investment Banking products
A desire for personal development of core skills (technical expertise and soft skills)
Big 4 audit or accounting experience is a plus
Excellent written & verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within Group Audit and with Stakeholders
Basic Technology understanding

Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary, NC or New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.
Deutsche Bank provides reasonable accommodations to candidates and employees with a substantiated need based on disability and/or religion.
The salary range for this position in New York City is $115,000 to $155,000 and Cary is is $80,000 to $120,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
