Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Financial Services, the Finance Manager provides
financial oversight of various Non-Tax Levy entities as well as Adult Continuing Education. The
Finance Manager oversees daily financial transactions, ensures compliance and reporting to various
third-party entities, including payroll-related parties, develops budgets, monitors financial activities,
and prepares and reviews schedule, statements and cash flow forecasting, required for senior
leadership.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
? Manages the financial operations of various College non-tax levy funds and continuing
education programs.
? Creates and monitors the annual budget for various non-tax levy funds and continuing
education programs while ensuring financial prudence.
? Coordinates the non-tax levy audit committee and board meetings, including preparing agendas,
minutes and all other applicable requirements,
? Supports in making presentations, including financial reports for the Board of Directors,
committees and college administrators.
? Collaborates with program leaders in developing, monitoring and reporting financial activities.
? Reviews and approves various financial transactions and reviews internal schedules relating
to payroll and audits.
? Performs the month-end, mid-year, and year-end financial close for various entities, including
submission of CUNY deliverables as requested.
? Spearheads the audits for internal and external agencies, including preparation of schedules and
financial statements.
? Oversees the reconciliation of relevant bank accounts and administering of ADP payroll and
related compliance and reporting.
? Ensures training sessions are provided for staff on CUNY Modules and other systems.
? Develops effective procedures for recording fiscal operations and ensures financial activities are
both GAAP and GASB compliant.
? Supervises professional staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required.
Preferred:
Familiar with PeopleSoft, Financial Edge, Banner, Microsoft Office. Familiar with CUNY policies and
environment. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

functions

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary commensurate with education and experience within the range of $80,211 - $90,838.
